Learn by Do-and-Teach Methods: By sharing knowledge within the team, and also through internship programs a spirit of growth can be fostered and maintained.

 


Research

Participatory Research: Facilitated participants to design and eventually role play out how they would use their new system to gain insight into unmet needs and values.

In-depth User Interviews: Conducted user interviews utilizing in-context, day-in-the-life, card sorts, etc.

Usability Testing: Designed and conducted usability studies for iterative design development and benchmarks.

Heuristic Evaluations: Developed and validated heuristic process for system level evaluations and benchmarks.

 

 


Strategy

I build future road maps by generating multi-year STEEP models through primary and secondary research. The models are then projected onto current User Journey Maps to determine future forms of interactions and lifestyles. This works because our basic needs as humans do not change with time; evolving technology simply provides new and better ways to fulfill these needs.

These models allow us to see the future that needs to be built, and the challenges that we face getting there.

 

 

 

 

 


Specifications

I have extensive experience creating specifications for my various users. This includes: design guides for the design team to follow, engineering specifications on how to build, and even detailed value proposition overviews for the sales team to use.

 

 

 

 

 

 


Interface Design

In and around the vehicle space I have designed screen based systems at the OS and mobile level.

In addition I have designed for voice, heads up, augmented reality, and most recently 3D AR. Since the vehicle is a system my approach is to design all of the components into a holistic experience for the user.
